Oxford

...continued from previous blog about London

The next morning we woke up early (well, Allison and I did, Joel was jet-lagged and tired) and had breakfast before Allison rushed off to day two of her conference. I then went and roused Joel and after storing our bags at the hostel we took a leisurely walk around Oxford. We passed some interesting old buildings and felt very prestigious the whole time. We even stumbled across the Oxford Literary Festival taking place at Christ Church (one of Oxford's colleges) and perused the Festival's tent. We were basically just wasting time until we met Allison outside the Ashmolean Museum at 11:30, which was another confusing meeting as apparently we were waiting outside of a side entrance rather than the main entrance. Then, we spent about an hour walking around the Museum, which was quite interesting, before heading back to the hostel to pick up our bags. From there we were off to London to catch a train back to Newcastle, arriving back here in the early evening. It was a whirlwind tour of the south of England...hopefully we'll be able to see a bit more of it later this year, but we'll see. Anyway it was now time to recharge for Scotland.

Can you tell me what the show with a theatre is that you've photographed, and where in Oxford?
    Thanks.

  2. I'm not actually sure, sorry. We just stumbled across it on our wanderings.
