So, I'm sure you may have noticed a decline in the frequency and 'interestingness' of our postings...this is because CLASSES HAVE STARTED. Allison spent most of today doing Latin, while I read for classes. The life of a student.
Some interesting items of note though:
-We are planning a Christmas Break trip to Northern Europe. We have booked a roundtrip ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam which leaves Newcastle on December 13 and returns on December 30. During that time, we are planning on buying Eurail passes valid for 15 days and seeing as much of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany (and possibly Switzerland, Austria, France) as possible. We definitely want to see the Christmas markets in Belgium and Germany and we'd very much like to tour some Belgian breweries as well. Other than that, we don't have any set in stone plans, so it will be fun to make some. So that's that.
-We are going to a Newcastle United football (soccer) match tomorrow night against the Queens Park Rangers (sorry, our team got relegated from the Premier League last year due to poor performance, so no Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal this year -- On the flip side, they're currently in first place in the 2nd tier of English football) at 7:45. I really really hope it's warm at that time, as it gets into the 40s most nights. We'll let everyone know how that goes. It's not any kind of big rivalry though, so I'm sure we won't get involved with a riot. We've bought our jerseys and scarves and can now sport our team colors.
